I just finished watching SW ANH Revisited and I really liked it. The guy did some really cool scenes and created some nice continuity throughout the film. The Death Star shots are amazing. He also does some really cool editing at the end and changes the pace of a few scenes from the original cut. He also took out some of the bullshit from the 1st SWAHNSE.

All in all a good watch. NOTE - If you want the full effect, watch the film with subtitles ON and set them to ENG 3. Then you get the editors commentary where he did some adjusting. Some shots are pretty subtle.

If you have any other fanedit productions, post 'em up. I, myself dig those and other obscure sci-fi productions. Batman is good too.

This guy's a British dude that goes by 'adeywan' (pronounced like 81).
He did it all on a mac. the only shot where CG stuff was created was that multi tie-fighter shot. Everything else was done with off-the-shelf software.

He's almost done Empire - he said there's more colour correction needed in it than ANH. HE's gonna do Jedi and the prequels too... eventually.

There was a really cool interview with him in IHN's 100th episode.
I gave him hell in the IHN forums for changing the Vader/Ben duel, especially putting in the EP III music! Turns out there's a version he already did without that change in it more more 'purists'.

I agree with SO MUCH of what he did. He even stuck a battle droid head in the sandcrawler!

Not to spoil too much, but did you like what he did with the Death Star at the end?

I also agree with his look to the film. It was AMAZINGLY clean. Did you notice that laser bolts from Empire guns are GREEN and Rebel bolts are RED? But if you use a lightsabre, then the colors (colours) are reversed. I also enjoy his sense of humor (humour).

As I look through my collection, I have 8 different versions of Star Wars. It's fun!

I have them all on dvd. My most original copy is from a 1992 laser disc transfer. It is THE OOT. Other versions I have are the side by side versions of all the movies next to their SE versions. I also have the SE on laser disc, but I have not transferred those yet.

Wookie groomer torrent(ed) these films. He even made a side by side of all six movies. You can pick the sound track for which ever film you want or listen to all sound tracks simutaneously. It's really wierd though.

I also have the 33 LP of The story of Star Wars from 1978. I don't have the book, BUT I have the record tote that hold the 45's

yup. That is the one Jamie and I were talking about. I am waiting for ESB. That is my fav movie. It will be interesting to see if it will change my opinion of the original.

My mom let me skip school to go see ESB. I went alone and it was awesome.

I'm right in the middle of the Phantom Edit right now and I'm watching it with the commentary on. This is a great edit, and the guy knows what makes a god story. He's not bitter, he's smart, and most importantly he's a real fan of SW. He brings up a lot of points that VOR has. I think this will be my new official TPM version. Check it out!

Vuze... looks kinda sleek. Is it like 'Ares' where it has it's own interface for searching and playing? This looks movie-specific? Interesting. Thanks Ed.
