Sorry to everyone who doesn't like the emails and voicemails. But it is one of the things that puts our show on the map. We really try our best to respect our listeners, and reading emails and playing voicemails is a way of doing that.
I know sometimes they can get long and drone on, but you'll have that from time to time.

And Clint, your not the only one who is sick of the Me/Fisto jokes. I've told the guys a few times in the last couple of weeks, that it's getting old. It even has spilled over into our "off air" lives. But I'm only 1/4 of a team, and we share all decisions equally. So I apologize that the Fisto jokes and long communications have turned you off the cast. But I understand.

Some of the movie was good. I concur, though, that apart from any Jar-Jar appearance, the movie had some of the gayest moments... but that's neither here nor there...

The show itself gets way better than the movie. I, like many others, thought that if they just stuck to the original plan and kept it on tv, the hate for it wouldn't be nearly what it was.

So we discussed this in the IHN forums, then as the episodes started on TV someone started a 'rank-as-you-go' thread to rate each episode.

My entries were simple, I'd list the episodes from favourite to least. Some would go as far as to list stats of ratings, production order, show order, blah, blah, which I always ignored.

(I hope you're still with me because I'm kind of giggling at the stupidity of all of this as I'm tying...)

Anyhoo...

Theses kids (and most of the people who post there I think are well under 21) started rating the movie along with the show in their lists. Some would stick the movie as a whole in their list (like me), but others would enter and rate the movie broken down into 3 parts, making me think "oh God, really? that's gay". Then I thought about it, and OCD took over.

3 episodes? That's wrong. It can't be. That would make it only 66 minutes long. It had to be at least 4, and looking into it, I discovered it was, with 10 minutes of stuff edited into it to make it flow a bit more, or whatever.

I called CJ (and all the others) on this. They (they being CJ and some kids who agreed with him because he's a host and I am not) got irked - which I found funny. The more irked they got, the more citings I threw into the pot - including wookieepedia, Jay Sheppard, Nathan Butler, and even Dave Filoni n the movie's audio commentary.

Eventually CJ broke down on the show. He got really upset, which was NOT my intention. But it was still kind of funny. I genuinely like CJ, I really do. But man is it fun riling him up soemtimes!!

Hey, if you're gonna put opinions out there, you need to be ready to take some hits.

Sounds like I should start listening to a couple of shows. Hit me with some dates or show episodes Jamie.

I love when Star Wars geeks break down. I had my break down in '87, but the therapy helped a lot.

sometimes i enjoy stirring people up as well. and cj is an easy target. i love ihn dont get me wrong i also live in columbus so its like the hometown team. but what i get from listening to the show is he is a guy who is used to geting things his way and getting his views across at all costs i. e. talking over bill chris or matt. and if anyones views or ideas differ from his, count on a 3 1/2 hour show. how long did he go on about the 3 episode thing like 30 mins then it got into eu beef.

I know! The more he goes on the blurrier the lines get between logic and feelings. Unintentional Comedy Gold.

I'm not sure what episodes to check out, Bob. It's not like a library format like VOR, it's more news-based. Try their latest, the vibe is just the same now as when they started it in 2006.

There's 4 hosts them, each covering different Star Wars aspects. The humor is very different from VOR too. They're geeks, they know it, and they don't care, which makes them cool. They don't ever go out of their way to try to be cool, pretentious or corporate wannabe.

The only drawback is their feedback - while they read and play every feedback they get, they've accumulated a number of very young listeners whose feedback can be painful t get through - but they still keep it in, which I give them props for. I'll always have a soft spot for IHN.

I've been thinking about starting to listen again, though I hate the clone wars and I have a feeling that's what the show focuses on these days.

Now that the CW isn't on, they are back to their normal discussions...
