Parent's show!

I'm in the middle of the Vader show (March '07), where Joel talks about his dad picking him up by the neck dressed as Darth Vader.

I know Mikey's dad is big on Star Wars (I want to hear him talk about the droids crossing the blaster fire in the hallway of the Tantive IV).

Ed's family is so close, I know they have stories. I'd also like to hear brother Bob's take on this.

Call up your folks, interview 'em. Maybe throw the same questions at them:

How fun was it to raise a SW fan?
How much did it break the bank to buy figures?
What was it like taking the kids to the movies?

I'm tempted to have my dad call in and leave a voice mail about he and I getting on the evening news as we waited in line for Empire. I can vividly recall, even at almost-5 years old, being on my dad's shoulders in front of the Ridglea Theater in Fort Worth in 1980.

I think this idea has legs, let me know what you think.

Do it. CALLING ALL VOR DICKS!!! Mp3 your parents about this stuff. Send it in. It would a really cool compilation show. Especially the audio clips that go;

"What? Star Wars? That was 30 years ago! I can't remember buying you all that shit!! I just remember trucking through every freakin store in the snow looking for an R2D2 with a sensorscope or a Bar Narda Nickles Toes or some shit like that. You still don't have that stuff do you?"
