Some of you guys may or may not know I just joined the 501st with a TK. Well I caught the building bug and it seems my garage will actually BE my garage, since I've decided to start a second project. And this time around I wanted to make sure I documented it fully, and kept you guys posted (I figured some of you might get a kick out of it). Mostly because this one will be infinitely more frustrating and time consuming. I have it planned out for the next year! Today I took the first big step, and hope to have my 3PO head kit on my door step in the next few weeks. I'll keep you guys posted!

you're building a 3PO??? Holy shit, that's awesome! I always wanted to do that with my thinner frame, but now a days I want to bulk up. Cant' wait to see the progress of the garage

You should make a 3PO costume, paint a Freddy Mercury mustache on it and then just work out at the gym all day.

It would be funny. To me at least.

Instead of making a costume he can just wear a gold body suit. Or just gold hot pants and paint his body gold with the Freddy head.

3PO head, Freddie Mustache and a buttless gold unitard. It was a team effort, but I think we came up with the best gay 3PO costume ever.

The head and all its parts came this afternoon in perfect shape from the shop. I need to go out get a bald cap and see if it fits (it's a tight fit alright, mostly do to my ears). If it doesn't, looks like I have to do some trimming and heating to get a good fit. Off to Michaels to pick up some lights for the eyes!
