The VORum

Yeah, so for the first time in.... 15+ years, I played Dungeons & Dragons today. To get a grasp on the scene, it's important (and funny) to note that it was me, one of the owners of the company I now work for, the main badass when it comes to copy writing at said company, his 12 year old daughter, and her 12 year old buddy (male) at 9:00 am this morning.

Holy shit that was fun! All adults involved are in touch enough with their geekiness to embrace this sort of thing. But to do it along side authentic kids that were the same age as when we first tackled D&D.... let's just say that it was a fun mirror to play with.

I would've chosen something similar race/class-wise as back then, but the kids had both already nailed down the elf/half-elf ranger angle that I chose a meat-head to absorb some kobold savagery. Holy shit is it fun playing Conan with a lower IQ.

I dunno, a bit of goofy fun, and I figured y'all could appreciate it. Anybody else know what it is to wield a +3 Bastard sword? (Kidding, Carne the meat head has a great axe, and loves to use the "cleave" power)

Awesome for you! There was talk of playing a game in FL for the time I was there, but as excited as people were about it nothing ever happened. It was such a let down.

I played in early High School with my skater friends before we started to talk to girls. We took it half-seriously, and always had a great time. My friend Todd was the GM, and at first he used the game templates, but then he created his own adventures for us. We loved it. We had a weaselly cleric played by my weaselly friend. One pal was a big human adventurer guy in armor, and Todd's GF was an elven thief I think. I know that I was a hot redhead human thief with a big sword, hahaha. Good times.

We never played long enough to have anyone get killed and then take out our grief on a visiting President or our teachers at school or anything.

I took my first foray into gaming with a game called Scion. Yeah this was all of a couple months ago. January to be exact. I am having fun with it. I am a scion of Loki. And I am heavenly into robotics. My name is Roberto Asimov. I just moved to demi-god status.

Do you drive a Scion too???

Ok so that game got cancled because the guy who was running it got a girlfriend. Lame.

I joined a new game, its a Mutants and Masterminds game with a horror setting. I am a 300 year old vampire knight. Our quest was givin to us by the angel of death. Who I kept hitting on. Now if we are succesful. I get to smash out the angel of death.

Vampires and Angels of Death........

Thanks, I figure if I bang an angel God might like give me super powers even more then I got right now. Or he might try to smite me... Is it ok to bang angels?
