To me, that sounds as if it'd be much more depressing than impressive/

I like seeing it, I just don't want to live in it, you know? Like living in a toy store. I know that sounds strange coming from me, but again, I don't want to keep boxes if I can't open them.

Thats cool. But at least you agree it would be really cool to see. Ya you would not want to live there but it would be mad cool to visit.

Yeah I am more along the lines of like seeing it but not living it. A friend of mine has his "toy room" setup like that and while impressive it's just not for me. I prefer the loose shelf/case look for my collection.

No, it's totally cool to see. I'd see it.

I took me forever to open my Mc figures. I still have a few in box. I love the packaging, but I do plan to open them soon, I'm just drawing it out like a sweet treat to savour.

I keep some in packaging (VOTC, Exclusives, Comic Packs) cause they either look cool or they are special (The excl. Mc Figs). Sometimes the packaging enhances the display (Battle Packs).

To buy more than one fig, one to keep in the box and one to open, to me, is a bloody retarded waste of money and time.

Here's what I have in part of my SW room as a comprimse. I learned that the Canadian Cards for the first POTF2 run were unique (square, 2 languages). So I kept the cards and built little shelves like this...

I have only opened one of my McFigures. That is McClamy, cause I found him and bought 3. One to open and play with one to keep in packaging and one I had picked up for a friend.

The other day I almost bought a second R2-KT just so I could keep one in the box. That is the first figre that I considered keeping for future value.

I open pretty much everything. I have a few figures here and there that aren't opened due to sentimental value and because I really like the packaging. I have the boxes to most of my vintage playsets and vehicles (thank to my older brother).

I was keeping the mcquarrie (that's right mcquarrie not mc they aren't fuckin irish! sorry) but I ended up opening most of those as well.

at the end of the day follow the words of a crazy old wizard that lives beyond the dune see "you must do what you feel is right of course"

yeah, for sure to taking them out of the box. the other day, i "broke down", and busted that sweet son-a-bitch, mcVader. and it felt good. real good. so, ive made up my mind, all the figures need to breath the sweet air of freedom. except for a few exceptions. "duplicates, bad-ass packaging." whatever. thanks for all the insight vorinians!
