Well, Mikey had been asking me about this year's Celebration, and if I was going.

And I said, "No."

I just didn't see the point in flying someplace out of state.
And a weekend of Mikey bouncing off the walls would kill all of us.

Well, ironically or coincidentally, Celebration V has been just announced in Orlando this August.

even though I'm in a star wars lull at the moment I'm seriously considering thinking about contemplating going to this. they don't do them often and it's the 30th anniversary of empire, which is my all time favorite movie.

only problem is the cost, $120 for a 4 day pass, ouch. then there's plane tickets, lodging, food, and buying shit.

DUDE........that would be awesome. I am not single, but there should be plenty of time for me to get the scratch together. Then we can share the cost of a room or crash at Mike's house. Mike does not get to the VORUM too often, so we could surprise him when we show up on his doorstep. Maybe the boys can do a live show for us.

I lived in part of that 70's sitcom. Looking forward to going back. (jump rope, Deke? you swingin' from side to side like a boxer in training? Or do they just bounce off your forehead in double Dutch?)
